Be informed on the issues and support the 2025 bond for future generations in Tomball ISD!

  • We’re asking you to #Vote4TISDBond to keep our campuses safe, update necessary building systems and infrastructure, ensure we have the technology needed to protect kids online, and to maintain classroom technology equipment. A vote FOR TISD this May is a vote for excellence, community pride, and a vote to protect the investment we’ve made in our local schools!

  • Many schools in TISD have systems that are due for replacements or upgrades. Things that are needed to operate the buildings – like air conditioning, plumbing, electrical – get worn out over time and it’s expensive to replace. While recent TISD bonds have focused on new construction, the 2025 bond focuses on taking care of what we have.

The $430 million allows Tomball ISD to not increase the total tax rate and that’s great news for all business and homeowners in TISD!.

We support this approach to have a fiscally-responsible bond that updates what we have, builds for immediate growth, and that gives our student programs the facilities they NEED!

  • Let’s don’t let that happen! There are critical needs that must be addressed now. Don’t let our schools fall into disrepair or keep our kids from practicing with the new state guidelines on heat!

  • Bonds allow school districts to spread the cost of expensive projects across time without affecting the district’s normal educational operations. Also, bond funds all stay with the district, and they are not subject to state recapture, fluctuations in revenue due to state mandates, or other negative economic influences.

In short, bonds save and protect taxpayers while allowing for essential, ongoing facility development and other capital expenses to be funded.

  • Many of the infrastructure projects are big-ticket items, and with multiple campuses to maintain, the projects cost more than school districts are given to spend from their regular operating budget. Due to the rising cost of construction and amount of updates needed, these costs would exceed the district’s annual budget and/or eat into the money that’s used to pay teachers and keep the lights on.

  • Tomball ISD has a history of transparency and strong financial stewardship. Also, there are laws in place that restrict the use of public funds and how they can be used. And finally, the TISD school board is charged with overseeing the use of bond funds to ensure they aren’t being misappropriated.
